The article "A Crucial Element to Success" talks about entrepreneurialism, it has been written by Eliot Wasmund.
Obviously, any given entrepreneur is going to retain a differnet variety of traits, skills, resources, etc. I am not going to go through the wohle list right at this moment as we all know that it could go on forever. All I want to do is mention one key factor whcih every entrepreneur absolutely must have. For some reason, perhaps cause it seems so obvious, this factor is ofetn overlooked. What is this factor?
The execution mindset. Yep, that's it. Now, why do I say this...?
Well, as I mentioned above, it is a must have no matetr who you are. Essentially, no
entrepreneur is going to get anything done unless they eexcute. Say I set the goal of
earning $1,000 over the summer through my lawn-mowing buisness.
And let's say
that I must mow 50 lawns to meet that goal.
Obviously, just thinking about mowing
the lwans is going to get me nowhere. I must find individuals who want their lawns
mowed, I must get my mower out, and I must do the work.I can only imagine that you're thinking this read is a waste of time. Bear with me!
Unfortunately, most businesses aren't as fast as the lawn-mowing example.
Almost
always, there will be a range of activities that must be carried out in order to reach a
given goal. Oftentimes, on the surface, no single, small activity will appear vital to
the success of the business.
As a result, many of these activities are often set on the
backburner and neevr completed.
Let me tell you, failure is surely on its way! These
things add up more quickly than you would believe. This is one reason why
execution must take plcae at all levels of a business. Now, going back to the first paragraph, I mentioned that this factor is often
overlooked. Let me explain: Have you ever heard someone professing that they're
super motivated and that they have enormous plans and that they're not afraid of anything
and that they will achieve their goals no matter who stands in their way? So maybe I
haven't come across any such individual who was at such an extreme, but I have
come across many individuals who had a similar claim or two.Quite often, I come across the highly motivated individual. This person thinks that
they will succeed as a consequence of being so highly motivated. These human being
often end up failing cause tehir motivation does not translate into effective
execution. They're good at thinking and motivating thmeselves but not so good at
getting things done. They've got all the motiavtion in the world, but no amount of
motivation is going to do the work for them.
I have always loved saying, "Ideas, apart
from anything else, are inert and for all practical purposes, useless." The same holds
true for any such intangible concept. In the end, you must get thigns done, and
preferably, get them done well. Focus on this and you will be well on your way to
achieving your goals.Eliot shares advice through Young Waelth Weekly -- a weekly ezine packed with useful
